Healthy Schools

At St. Chad's we take the issue of a healthy child very seriously. Research shows that a healthy child will work better, and be more attentive in school. Below we have some website links that willl hopefully help you to help your child in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Parents, as we are working on achieving the Healthy Schools status, we would be grateful for your opinions on what the school does well in this area, and any suggestions where we can work to improve what we already do in promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The areas the Government have highlighted are:

  • Personal, Social and Health education (including Sex and Relationship Education and Drug Education)
  • Healthy Eating
  • Physical activity
  • Emotional health and well-being

We ask for your support in this by talking to the children about these points, and highlight the importance of being able to talk to someone about things that are upsetting them, and how they are feeling. Hopefully, together we can educate our children to being healthy citizens of the future by starting now.
