Mrs Parker
Attendance Close Up

Headteacher's Welcome
My name is Mrs Parker and I am very proud to be the Headteacher of St Chad’s, the Cathedral School of the Birmingham Archdiocese. I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. We are a single form entry school situated in Newtown. We are truly an international school with over 20 languages spoken by our children and staff. I have worked at St Chad’s for many years and have seen the school change a lot, but one thing that has always stayed a constant is that the children have always been at the heart of every decision that we make. We have high aspirations for all our children and our behaviour is excellent. Our last OFSTED showed that we are ‘Good and improving’. This is down to the hard work, care and determination of our wonderful teaching staff and the partnership between our parents and the school.
We have a well planned and sequenced curriculum where our Gospel values and the teachings of the Church guide us in all that we do. We teach our children the importance of doing as Pope Francis said ‘it is not enough to say we are Christians. We must live the faith, not only with our words but with our actions.’ Our OFSTED report highlighted the pastoral work we do with our families as a real strength. Something were all very proud of. Our last RE Inspection showed us to be a ‘Good ’school.
St Chad's Assembly
Welcome to St Chad's Catholic Primary School
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for taking an interest in our school. Hopefully, you should be able to find much of the information you seek from our site. If however, you would prefer to call us then please don't hesitate to contact us.
At St Chad's our first priority is your child's welfare and therefore there may be occasions when our concern about your child means that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact you. The procedures we follow have been laid down by the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board. If you want to know more about these procedures, please come and speak to us.

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
The behaviour of our children is good, both in school and when taking part in learning opportunities outside of school, they never let us down.
Our parents are supportive of our Mission and we welcome them into our school for Family and Parent workshops whenever we can.
DIVERSITY
We have dedicated staff who work hard for the good of the children and the wider community.
We provide many opportunities for extracurricular activities, both sporting and academic.
Our school is made up of many languages and cultures but our Love of God unites us every day.
Consulting
Our Governors visit us regularly and are proactive in their support for the staff.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection shows we have come a long way in two years and we are now a 'Good' school
It is very important to be sure that your child enjoys every aspect of school life. We hope that you feel that we are doing this at St Chad's, and that you are able to come in and talk to us with suggestions of how to make our school even better.
